One Qualified Soul - Bola Olu-Jordan
Sometimes ago, a man of God saw a revelation of rapture. He saw that in His Church, only one person made it. He became so concerned and began to intercede for his church. God told him He does not save by multitude. The man then pleaded that God should at least, consider his family, i.e. his wife and children, reminding Him that He said He would save us with our household.
As he continued there several hours pleading, God only replied, ‘I am the God of integrity. Shall I call the unjust just?’ This weighed down the man and he laid there several hours more, groaning and unable to pray.
The next morning, Sunday; the man walked up the pulpit with much heaviness. He tore his heart and told the church the revelation God gave him the previous day, challenging them to holiness and lamenting that why would he be the only person to make the rapture if it were to happen right away in the congregation of several thousands. He passionately appealed to the people to be reconciled with God.
The whole church began to mourn. There are then, an old, feeble, woman walked up the aisle to the altar, weeping. She was the poor widow who live in and clean the church. She wept so much that the church wondered what could have happened to her. She finally mumbled out some words from her lips. ‘Forgive me, Lord; forgive me, Lord’.
The Pastor reached out to pacify her. ‘Is she the only one with a heart of true repentance in this whole congregation?’ the pastor asked, weeping. Other members began to troop out.
The pastor then began to pray ‘O God, your people have come with a true heart of repentance, save them, too, Lord, together with me let them also make the rapture’.
The Lord told the man: ‘the old, poor, widow is still the only one that will make the rapture’! Apparently, the widow only came out to ask God for forgiveness for not telling the pastor about the same revelation as it was revealed to her earlier.
If the rapture of the church were to occur right now, will you be there?
