Thou art exalted far above all gods
For Thou, o Lord, art high above all the earth

O my soul, worship His holy Name.
Sing like never before, O my soul.

@cryoutreach Many times we are too careless with our words. We speak based on our emotions and we, unknowingly, create negativities, hurts, and pains through the careless words we utter out of momentous feelings. Words have consequences. Aside from the fact that it can hurt us and others, it can impact our eternity. May we not be part of those who will be too shamed to listen to their own words when they stand before God in heaven according to the words of #Jesus in Mat. But when we are mindful of our words, even in precarious situations, it is the highest force to create and recreate something from nothing just like God did at the creation. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.  (Mat 12:36-37)

Many times we are too careless with our words. We speak based on our emotions and we, unknowingly, create negativities, hurts, and pains through the careless words we utter out of momentous feelings. Words have consequences.

Aside from the fact that it can hurt us and others, it can impact our eternity. May we not be part of those who will be too shamed to listen to their own words when they stand before God in heaven according to the words of Jesus in Mat. 12:36-37.

But when we are mindful of our words, even in precarious situations, it is the highest force to create and recreate something from nothing just like God did at the creation.

Pray these powerful prayers to break and nullify every negative words in your life affecting you.

  1. Heavenly Father, I come before You acknowledging the power of my words and the weight they carry in the spiritual realm. I repent for every idle word I have spoken without considering its impact. Please forgive me and cleanse me from the consequences of these words.
  2. Lord, I declare that from this moment forward, my words will be filled with wisdom, love, and encouragement. May every word that proceeds from my mouth be pleasing to You and bring life and edification to those who hear them.
  3. I break and nullify every negative word that has been spoken against me or my loved ones. I cancel their effects and render them powerless in the name of Jesus. Let Your truth and blessings replace every curse or harmful word spoken over our lives.
In Jesus' mighty name, I pray. Amen.

As you set out today, run with this Bible verse in 2Cor 9:8: "And God is able to give you more than you need, so that you will always have all you need for yourselves and more than enough for every good cause"

This means, the Lord will bring resources: human, material, spiritual, financial, etc., so that you will have:
1. Sufficient: enough for yourself
2. Overflow: to share with others
3. Good Cause: to begin something of benefit to your community.
All in Jesus' name.

A Morning Devotional Message on CLUBHOUSE - 03/29/2023

"With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright; With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward" (Psalm 18:25-26).

Picture
In Psalm 18:25-26, the Psalmist says, "With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright; With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward."

What this means is that God will manifest himself to you in the situation your present yourself to him.

So, if you present yourself as poor, or weary, strong, dying, or happy, he will present himself just like that. i.e. you will see him that way.

Paul says in 2Cor 13:11: "Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you."

God is called several names in the Bible, God of comfort, God of joy, God of peace, God of mercies, God of vengeance, God of glory, God of grace, and so on. He is also God of vengeance, God of war, etc. He is the God of your situation. If you come to God with comfort, peace, joy, he will be the God of comfort, peace, joy, and so on to you. If you come to him as the God of solution, that is what he will be to you. If you approach him as a fearful God that can kill and destroy, he will appear to you and deal with you as such.

Paul says if you "
farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace," God will manifest himself exactly like the God of those things to you. It is important to know how we approach God because that is what he will present himself to us.

Some people approach God with complaint and murmuring. God hates murmuring. He was ready to eradicate Israel for murmuring against Moses. He in fact destroyed and crushed Israel for murmuring and that was why we are warned not murmur in 1Cor 10:10: "Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer."

Let us learn to approach God with the right mindset even if we are passing through a terrible situation. Life and death are in our tongue, and our mind is so powerful it reflects and mirror God to us in the way we present our situation to him. That is why the Bible says "let the weak say I am strong and let the poor say I am rich".

Every time we approach God, let us pray the solution and not the problem. Let us magnify God and the solution, not magnify our situation as if we are looking for pity. It's OK to cry and shed tears in prayer but we must understand that God is not an emotional God; he does not watch over our tears, even though they are precious to him but he watches over his words in our mouth and how our heart trusts him (
Jer 1:12).

Hannah kept praying for several years for a child but her prayer was full of complaints of how others were treating her and how desperate she needed a child to show to people she was not a barren. She got nothing until she changed her prayer to praying the solution rather than pray the problem. Let us learn to say more about what we want than what we are passing through. Even though we see it as the reality, our minds interprets it as murmuring and lack of faith, and without faith, we cannot get anything  from God. Talk more about the solutions, not the problem. Confess. Believe. Have a positive mindset. All these will strengthen your faith to receive from God.

Don't mourn over your situation, rather talk to it. Jesus told his disciples, "if you shall say to this mountain..." We are called to call things that are not as if they are, and they will be, that is faith. Stop dressing your situation, start to address it. Call it the name you want them to be and that is what they will be.

Paul tells us how to adjust and strengthen your heart so that we can receive what you mirror. Php 4:8: "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."

Think on those things:
  • Whatsoever things are honest
  • Whatsoever things are just
  • Whatsoever things are pure
  • Whatsoever things are lovely
  • Whatsoever things are of good report;
  • If there be any virtue, and
  • If there be any praise,
  • Think on these things....
When you think, dwell, and occupy your heart with these and other noble things, you will see God presenting himself to you just like what you think. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. If you think junk, you will see junk, attract junk and see God as so. But if you think miracle, God will present himself as the God of miracle to you. The choice is yours. Even though He is the God of your situation, you dictate the situation.

Prepare for the Harvest

Prepare for the Harvest

Answering the who, what, why, how, and when questions about biblical sowing and reaping

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again” (Luke 6:38).

Some people think that giving means losing something, but as Christians, we know that giving is actually a window to receive. Giving itself is one of the greatest blessings we can receive.

Just like any other laws of God, the way to be great is to be small, the way to be a leader is to be a servant. The way to live is to die, the way to receive is to give.

Who Should You Give to?
  • First to God. Give thanks, praises, worship, adoration, offering to your God. He deserves it. “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness” (Psa29:2).
  • Give to the household of Faith. Paul says, “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith” (Gal6:10).
  • Give to your spouse, children, family members, loved ones, friends, colleagues, neighbors, co-workers, even yourself. Pro3:27 says, “Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.”
  • Give to those in need; widows, orphans, the poor, etc. Pro 19:17 says, “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.” “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world” (Jas 1:27).

What Can You Give?
Give thanks to God as if you are giving him something physical.
Be intentional with it.

Give money, encouragement, appreciation, and so on.
Give your time, presence, ears, etc.

Be sincere with it.
Be a candle. One candle can light a thousand candles without losing its own light or shine.

The Blessing of Giving
Aside from the fact that giving gives us a deep sense of satisfaction and contentment, it is also a way God uses to bless us. Act20:35 says, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Remember, whatever you give will come back to you in “good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over.” Paul says, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (Gal 6:7).

Also, don’t forget that “with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again”

So, give bountifully, so you’d give bountifully. If you give sparingly, you will receive bountifully (2Cor 9:6). It’s like what the writer of the book of Ecclesiastes says, “Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days” (Ecc 11:1).

The Law of Sowing and Reaping
One thing is sure, when you give, you will always receive, it is a law! That is why you should give every time you have the opportunity to give. It’s like sowing.

You may find it a bit difficult to sow at the beginning, but the joy is when the harvest comes. Yield to the wisdom of Ecclesiastes that says, “In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good” (Ecc 11:6).

This is what the book of Proverbs has to say, “There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.  The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself” (Pro 11:24-25).

It is the planting season, it is time to give, for the harvest is coming.
Prepare for a bountiful harvest – be generous!

Start giving today!

Bringing Down The Cloud

3/16/2023

Picture

The cloud of glory could be a manifestation of long-awaited miracle, a blessing, healing, divine connection, or anything. Giving thanks moves not only the hand of God but God himself.

2Ch 5:13-14: It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;
So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.

Why Did The Cloud of Glory Come Down Over Israel?
Because the ark of the Lord was brought into the Temple from Zion.

The ark of the covenant of the Lord was where the table of stone that Moses got on the mountain was. It also included the rod of Aaron that budded. It contained also the shew bread and other articles which God asked them to put in there for generations past. The ark was towered by angels who covered it with their wings. It was kept in the holy of holies where only the high priest could access once a year.

As believers today, we don’t have the physical ark of the covenant of the Lord, Israel itself don’t have it anymore, but it symbolizes the presence of God.

How Did They Give Thanks to God?
“…they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD.”

Let us lift up our voices, our instrument of music, hands, body and give thanks to God in all situations.
Giving thanks is the will of God and it brings down the presence of God into our lives (1Th 5:18).

They did not only give thanks with instruments of music and singing, they also gave sacrifices to God.

2Ch 5:6: "Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude."

Imagine! They “sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude.”

When you give thanks to God with song and music and dancing, add a sacrifice to it.

You may not be able to sacrifice sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude, but you could give something to a needy person.

What Happens When we Give Thanks?
“…the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God."

Everytime the ark of the covenant was brought into the battle filed for Israel; their enemies disappeared because they know that the ark of the covenant signified victory for Israel because it was the presence of God.

When we bring the Presence of God into our lives, home, situation, family, work, etc, the cloud of glory of the Lord descends on us. Battles are won, victories is certain, our enemies disappears.

When we give thanks, the glory of God comes down. It came as a cloud to Israel. It was so thick the priests could not even minister, “So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.”

David knew and understood the power of bringing down God’s glory by the giving always. He wrote about this in many places in the book of Psalms.
  • Psa 106:1  Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
  • Psa 107:1  O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
  • Psa 118:1  O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.
  • Psa 118:29  O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
  • Psa 136:1  O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever

What is the Cloud of Glory?
The cloud of glory could be a manifestation of long-awaited miracle, a blessing, healing, divine connection, or anything. Giving thanks moves not only the hand of God but God himself because God "inhabits in the praises of His people" (Psalm 22:3).

The cloud of glory descended on Israel as they did all these. The same cloud will descend on us as we do all these, too.

When the cloud comes down over our lives, home, family, situation, etc, it removes every dark cloud that may be hanging over us. Every dark cloud of death, sickness, illness, disease, shame, lack, etc, are removed, for where the cloud of glory of God is, no bad or evil things can exist there. For the cloud of glory of the Lord is the presence of God.

Experience the miracles of God in your life by bringing down the cloud of glory with thanksgiving, songs, instrument, and sacrifice. Do it as often as you can and watch the cloud comes down to lift any dark cloud hanging around you.

Finding Your Own Jerusalem

2/26/2023

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces. For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee. Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good” (Psalm 122:6-9)

David’s call for patriotism about Jerusalem was a demonstration of his belief in the extra ordinary status of this wonderful city.

As a king, David made Jerusalem his “stronghold” and “fortress.” He made Jerusalem the capital city where he ruled Israel from. He believed Jerusalem is “the city of God” and has a spiritual significance. He also believed that peace is necessary in Jerusalem for peace to be in the world.

But as believers today, does that belief still hold and is the command to pray for the peace of Jerusalem with its attendant blessing on those who pray for it is still binding on believers?
